Versatility as a reflection of the industry
Members of the EVVC are around 600 event venues, congress centres, arenas and special event locations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other neighbouring European countries. These include small, traditional town halls with around 100 seats as well as multifunctional arenas, trade fair grounds and stadiums for up to 70,000 people.
The EVVC also welcomes event planners from the fields of congress services, concert and sports event management etc. as associate members - the customers of its 350 or so full member companies, many of which operate more than just one event location.
The member companies in the European Association of Event Centres are divided into three working groups according to their size. The partner companies have been a further working group since 2018. The event technicians (head of event technology, facility management, event technology specialists, etc.) and all persons responsible for technology in the member venues are united in a separate working group across all sizes.
All working groups meet regularly for their own meetings. Here, questions, solutions and experiences are exchanged in a trusting and collegial environment. External speakers provide participants with important information and relevant knowledge on current topics.
Furthermore, the EVVC's regional forums were launched in 2019.These meetings were explicitly designed for the project managers of member companies. The project managers based in a region come together for one-day meetings to engage in intensive dialogue with colleagues.
