Event Industry Integration
step2mice developed from the Erasmus+ project Event Industry Integration of EVVC (DE), i-smARt (LI), IT University (DK), ÖSB Consulting (AT) and VPLT (DE).
The aim of this joint project is to promote the employment and integration of refugees, migrants and foreign workers in the MICE industry.
The focus is on the specialist areas of technology, catering and logistics / facility management.
step2mice provides support with training plans, training courses, skills assessments and mentoring and buddy programmes.
The following modules were developed and implemented during the project:
- Tools for skills assessment
- Curriculum for training providers on professional integration
- Toolbox ‘Diversity management for companies’
- Impact study on augmented reality application
- Pilot phase step2mice (2-week theory course followed by a practical phase lasting several weeks)
